URGE – Ukrainian Refugees’ Gateway to Education

The URGE project aims to support the integration of Ukrainian refugee children in primary school age into the national education systems of 6 EU countries – Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain and The Netherlands. The project will create a set of informational and educational tools for developing basic language, communication and intercultural skills for supporting the socio-cultural integration of Ukrainian primary school children in the local societies. The URGE products focus on the learning, social and emotional needs of Ukrainian refugee children and aim to help them increase their motivation to learn the local language, get familiar with the country’s cultural specifics, get to know the local school environment, promote their participation in school life, their integration with peers and positive socio-cultural interactions.

The project is funded under the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2024-2026.
