OUR CIVIC HERITAGE

The project OUR CIVIC HERITAGE: European heritage of civic engagement and participative actions is a European cooperation project aimed at promoting European common values and civic education and engagement in Europe.

10 partners from 8 European countries are collaborating to collect case studies on effective engagement initiatives organized in partners countries and develop a set of digital stories – short films of the most impactful and complex cases covering seven themes of civic engagement:

• Peace and democracy
• Intercultural dialogue and multilingualism
• Physical and mental health
• Art and performance
• Equity and inclusion in education
• Climate emergency
• World crisis

AIMS:

• strengthen the civic participation capacity and critical thinking of adult citizens of diverse background and generations
• improve their digital, social and intercultural competences
• provide educators with clear methodological guidance regarding civic heritage and authentic teaching resources
• strengthen (digital) European citizenship actions
